Rates
Fortify Christian Counseling, LLC, offers services that vary according to each counselor’s level of credentials, experience, and specializations. For example, our licensed professional counselors (LPC) and social workers (LICSW) have been approved to provide services covered by certain insurance providers (verification must be completed before scheduling sessions).
- Brandon Mallette, M.Div., Pastoral Counselor: $125.00 per 50-minute session
- Elizabeth Coleman, MA, LPC: $130 per 50-minute session
- Jerra Dooley, Ed.D. LHBC, Biblical Counselor: $145.00 session
- Lori Barstow White, MA., BCCC: $100.00 per 50-minute session
- Matt Kirkpatrick, Licensed Minister: $100 per 50-minute session
- Susanna Brown, MS, LICSW-PIP: $145 per 50-minute session
Group Sessions
Occasionally, we offer group counseling sessions for topics such as marriage counseling, codependency recovery, and Designed to Shine, among others. Rates for these sessions are lower than those for private counseling sessions and are determined by several factors, including the duration of the group meetings and the resources provided. Private Pay
Unless you have verified coverage through the insurance companies we are approved to bill, all fees are considered private pay, and the full fee is due at the close of the session. Through the Simple Practice client portal, you may securely save a debit or credit card for convenient online payments.
Insurance
Our licensed counselors currently accept the following insurance contracts with co-pays payable at the time of your visit:
BCBS-AL
Once your coverage is verified and your copay is determined, Fortify Christian Counseling will bill your insurance provider directly. Please be aware that not all counseling services provided by our Licensed Professional Counselors may be covered as part of your in-network insurance benefits. So, you must be prepared to pay the copay and other costs that BCBS does not cover. For this reason, we kindly request that you maintain a valid debit or credit card on file, allowing us to charge your portion of the session fees at the time of your visit.
If you use an insurance plan not listed, we can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance provider. However, the cost for our services will be due in full at the end of each session. Then, your provider will reimburse you.
Please contact your insurance provider and ask the following questions to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits as part of out-of-network benefits?
- Do they cover non-clinical pastoral counselors as part of out-of-network benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it, and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit the number of sessions per calendar year? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician for services to be covered?
- Do I need to submit anything other than a superbill from my mental health provider?
