Our beliefs are best described as evangelical protestant, but our clients do not have to be a Christian to seek our services. They need to be aware, however, that our approach to counseling is driven by some widely held biblical beliefs, including:
- We believe the Bible is “inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right” (2 Tim 3:16-17, NTL).
- We believe in the Triune nature of the God as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19-20).
- We believe humans were created in the image of God (Gen 1:26-28), that His image was shattered by our sin (Rom 5:12-14) and can only be restored as we become more like Christ (Rom 5:15-17, 8:29).
- We believe salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose again, providing eternal redemption to those who believe (Eph 2:8-9).
