Matt is a Pastoral Counselor passionate about helping teens, young adults, and couples navigate life’s challenges. He uses a blend of counseling techniques and his experience working with young people to address issues like anxiety, relationship struggles, and finding purpose. Matt holds a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, He is a licensed and ordained minister, will apply for an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) status in Alabama in January. Once his ALC license is approved, he will begin counseling under supervision and will also start accepting BCBS insurance.
Matt has served in ministry since his college days at the University of Alabama. He earned a Certificate of Ministry Leadership from Highlands College in 2016 and began working for Church of the Highlands in January of 2017. He currently also serves students at Highland’s College.
Matt incorporates his personal faith in Jesus Christ and years of ministry experience into his counseling. His goal is to empower clients to develop healthy coping mechanisms and live fulfilling lives according to God’s word.
Matt enjoys spending quality time with his wife Alexandra and their three children. You can often find them playing in the backyard, at the baseball field, or on the golf course.
