Matt is an Association Licensed Counselor under supervision with Tara Vines, LPC-S. He has a heart for helping teens, young adults, and couples navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and purpose. Drawing from evidence-based counseling approaches and years of hands-on experience working with young people, Matt helps clients address concerns such as anxiety, relationship struggles, life transitions, and questions of identity and direction.
Matt holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and he is a licensed and ordained minister who has served in ministry since his college years at the University of Alabama. He earned a Certificate of Ministry Leadership from Highlands College in 2016 and began serving at Church of the Highlands in January 2017 where he continues to minister to students through Highlands College.
Matt thoughtfully integrates his Christian faith and ministry experience into counseling for clients who desire a faith-based approach. His goal is to help individuals and families develop healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and live with purpose. However, clients who prefer a non-faith-integrated approach will always have their preferences respected.
Matt is also a certified PREPARE/ENRICH® facilitator, offering structured premarital and marital assessment and counseling to support couples in building strong, healthy relationships.
Outside the counseling office, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Alexandra, and their three children. You’ll often find them playing in the backyard, cheering at the baseball field, or enjoying time on the golf course together.
Session Rate:
Matt’s fee for a 50-minute counseling session is $125.

Insurance & Payment Information:
Payment is due at the end of each counseling session, except for services covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) according to your individual plan. Clients using other insurance providers are responsible for payment at the time of service and may submit a superbill for reimbursement, which will be provided upon request.
